Some people just have way too much time on their hands.
Legos

Came to me via my Word of the Day email. Today's WOTD was "defenestrate." A term I was already familiar with, but what a great word! I'm such a geek, sometimes it shocks even me.

Several of those Lego men are from the star wars collections. Luke is on the wall (just defenestrated), Ben Kenobi and Qui-Gon are in the crowd.

Although, as far as Legos and time wasting goes, this is just the tip of the ice berg.

you know, I have no problem with playing with legos. My husband and my daughter love them. My husband has amazing spatial skills and it is amazing what he can make- even with the "non choking hazard" kind of legos we bought for Flippy. I am just amazed at the ammount of time (especially) and money that people are willing to invest in these kinds of creations. The one linked to here isn't even all that elaborate. I think they are great toys for kids of all ages, I just can't imagine having that much time to devote to building elaborate and intricately detailed scenes.

Hey Jen, I am so LMAO right now thinking about those horrible parents at Cactus and your lego wasting time comment.
So here it goes. Some lego projects aren't bad. For one of my college theory papers, I used lego props to help explain it. And for one of my career conferences for SCDIAI, I used lego to explain a new way to look at and better explain fingerprints for the defense, prosecution, jury, and people in general. And that project won me first place and $100.
So...some playing with lego can't be bad right? At least I don't do it aaallll the time.

Oh and because of that college project...my hubby had the curage and a line to introduce himself to me the next semester.

Jen, I like words too. A friend of mine has told me I'm a "word nerd". How do you get the Word of the Day email? Thanks! :-)
