Yeah, Michelle put a notice up on the yahoo OkinawaSLCP forum. I am the moderator for that forum but never got a message about you joining? I set it up that is by invite only- after we got gatecrashed by a researcher.
Let me check....Mmm..Just checked our members list, love. Jannine and Dawn are listed but I can't see you (unless you have a undercover name).
If you wanna be able to put up Book Swap posts (that would be great), send us a mail to SLCPjapan@gmail.com, and I'll send you an invite. You just need to a yahoo email account to access it (They are free).
You know what, I have just had a brainwave.......... We have like lots of adults and children who are all into reading in SLCP, right. They are already all together in one spot that we have already rented. It is spacious. There are toilets, a kitchen, vending machines and lots of comfy seats. How about we put it altogether now and again? What say ye? :D
I think it wold be awesome.
Yo! Thanks for the friendship. Let us know when you have bookswaps and I will put it up on the SLCP blog www.slcpjapan.org to help it reach more people who don't have base access
on island.
BTW Do you know Dawn another NZealander in Naha near the airport? Wanna hook up? She just a had a baby too :D You probably know Jannine (Oki Hai reporter. And, there is another partying NZer in Kumoji.
Hi, I haven't been on here in ages but just popped on and happened to see your status about needing staff.. Could you please give me some details?
Thank you :D
Hi Hayley, I have penciled the book swap in on my calendar for next week. I was thinking it might be good to make an "event" out of it so more people might realize it is going on. I'm looking forward to it :)
I was hoping to know just what exactly the positions would be - qualifications, obligations/responsibilities, hours (daytime hours or weekends and nights?), how your school/service would operate, your target clientele, things of that nature. Does your school/service have a website yet? I would just like some more details and to know that I would be able to meet expectations before I submitted an application. If I could not, then it would be a waste of time for both of us.
I do know where Shintoshin is, though - only about 10 minutes away from me!
Thank you for the consideration.
Hey- I know this is out of the blue, but what are the two part time positions you mentioned on Megan's page? I would love some additional info. I will add you as a friend if you would like to send me a message that way.
I am very interested in the private language institute teaching position! Could you please give me some more information of what this job entails?
Also, I was wondering how far of a distance the institute is from my residence. I live on Camp Shields which is right next to Kadena Airforce Base.
Thank you so much for your assistance,
Megan Rietveld
