- Moved here in late June 09, looking to meet kindred spirits! I am a very creative lady, love making funky clothing, jewelry & I am an AWESOME cook. I spend way too much time alone, would love to get out on some creative adventures, sightseeing, music,art, learn the lanquage,& just hangin out. I love cats, outdoors (gosh, I miss my gardening,rock hunting & mountain climbing!) & motorcycles! I am waiting for my cats (Rory/Ocicat & Spotty/Bengal) to come to Okinawa in late Oct; they are currently staying in Hollywood with my daughter, I am so sad w/o them! Also would like to work in a creative field, do some group bicycle riding and have some people oriented FUN!!!

- Hey!!! thanks for your message and support...I will put my positive energy toward your kitties....we will leave for Oki on the fourteenth- I am a huge ball of stress lol-then our best friend should be bringing our papillion and our whit cat to us the weekend before thanksgiving- At this point I am soo stressed about it all that I just may leave them in the States- My hubs is like no your heart will hurt too much- I am like look as long as I have you and my son I will be ok- I mean peole lose/ or give up worse in their lives....let me know how it all pans out.......Peace Always Maria

Bunco starts at 5pm tomorrow night, it's potluck, BYOBooze and throw in's $10.00. We live on Camp Foster behind WestPac. So if you go straight out of their parking and go straight toward the downard sloping hill, our house is the 8th house on the left side #2364 77th Division St. (aka Kishaba Terrece). Do you live off of base? Do you think you'll have any trouble going through the gate? Or think you may need a ride? Let me know and I can help you out.
We got our cat from the OAARS Org. here, but there are lots of blogs from folks who've recently dealt with pets travelling and Quarantine issues on the Now Serving Okinawa. I would also call the OAARS Org too if you didn't get the answers you needed. Sorry I couldn't be more help to you with your cats travelling.

- Hi Veronica, welcome to Okinawa! Sounds like you got here bout the same time as my hubby n I did from SoCal (San Diego) too! I hope you've settled nicely and enjoying Oki so far. If you're not doing anything this Wednesday night, I'm hosting a Meet n' Greet Bunco Night aside from my Now Serving Okinawa Bunco Group. Some of these friends are new to the island also, some are from my neighborhood, and a couple have lived here longer. So don't be at home all alone, please join us and and hangout with us diverse group of folks, cause we're all in this adventure on Oki together!
