Hi Rea. Today another "Rea" has joined the Society. Just a suggestion. You might wish to adjust your screen name by adding an initial or something. Just a thought.

I am loving this kind of weather. My husband got here in Feb, so we were lucky an moved right into our house when we got here Wednesday. We are living in kashaba housing ( not sure on the spelling) on Camp Foster.
I have just been trying to get our empty house in order with some of our stuff. We did do a little sight seeing yesterday with some family who is also here at Kadena. I dont think I am ready to drive yet...It seeems a little scary, But I am sure by the end of the week. My kids are bored though, what is there to do with a girl that is 14 an a boy who is 11. They are driving me crazy.. Any advice??

i've had the same problem with my cookies...I'm not sure if it's the humidity or what. What i've done instead is put the cookie dough in a casserole dish instead of on a cookie tray. I cook it at the same temp and cook it for about 25 mins...it's like brownies only with cookie mix. it tastes the same!!! you do have to watch it though because since it's in a casserole it takes longer to cook so it may be longer.

Rea, Beautiful Grandbaby, congrats! You are right getting on the Patriot from here will not guarantee a space on the flight back. If you are flying with out your sponser you wil be "cat" 4. If your sponser is flying with you or is deployed you can get EML orders and get bumped up to "cat"2 that helps alot. There are other flights that will get you from the base near seatac to hawaii or here, but I am not sure how that works, you could ask them at the terminal whee you go to sign up. if you can get the EML orders sign up as soon as you get them becaues that is how they decide who of the "cat" 2 's get on it is first come first serve. Hope that helps and that you will get to see your sweet grandbaby soon.

Hi Rea,
Things are going fine with the move. My husband returned home on Saturday to help with last min things. I am still waiting for a reply back from Japan about the cat. The guy at the Japan airport had a lot if trouble understanding the notification form. Did you have trouble with them? I cant wait for this to be over and in Oki. They sure dont make it easy. Thanks for checking in with me.
