- Meredith I will let you know who the 1,000 member is when they join the group. I hope that you will be able to obtain their mailing address for Kelly who will send them a copy of "Takako". Kelly and I have this arranged and all she will need at the proper time is the name and mailing address.

- Meredith regarding the 1,000 member whatever the group chooses to do to acknowledge the 1,000th should be something if they are on the Island. If they are still in the States maybe something else. Keep me posted as to what the ladies want to do. As in the past I will make a small contribution $$$ to whatever is selected. Keep me in the loop, please.

- Meredith, As of today Now Serving Okinawa has 905 members. Most likely later this year we should see our 1,000 member. Several of us members should now start thinking about what do do to recognize that member when they join. Something like we did for the member who was the first to join in 2009 sometime back. What do you think?

- Meredith, the members search feature found two pages for Lee Ann Burrill. It appears that each page is for the same individual. Do you wish to check this out or do you want me to attempt to clarify who's who's? If it is the same person on both sites there are comments that should be moved to the correct page.

- Meredith, may I make a suggestion concerning your other 2 Now Serving sites. When these sites reach a membership of 100 members the "caretaker" (or someone) should review the members list of screen names and if there are a predominance of common first names maybe a general announcement be sent to all the members suggestion the addition of an initial to their screen names. At present duplicates are not a problem within these 2 groups (Hampton Roads 21 member of which 11 are first names only: Quantico 19 members of which 13 are first names only) After by passing 100 members maybe the "caretaker" could send a general announcement whenever the membership adds another 50 or 75 new names. Just a suggestion based upon my following and looking for duplicate screen names on Now Serving Okinawa. I will continue to follow Okinawa for the next 2-1/2 years while my step-son's family are on Okinawa. Just a suggestion.
