Meet new people, try new things and especially if you make an effort to learn the local language, you're time here will be that much more enjoyable! Of course, the same can be said with any foreign country.

That reminds me of a funny story. Back when I was in the Air Force and attending college, I heard a young airman complain that he would have to drive to Foster to take classes the next term! He made it sound as if Foster was too far for him and that he never left Kadena AB. Please, don't become like that young airman! LoL
