- Hello. My name is Markeita or you can just call me Keita. My husband is in the Airforce and we are finally here in Okinawa. We arrived on Aug. 7th and I'm really excited about being here. I know this will be a great experience for my family and I. I'm looking forward to meeting some really cool people and other moms just like me:)

So anxious...YIKES!!
We only have one month exactly until we PCS to Okinawa. I'm very excited and nervous at the same time. The people on the many different websites, including this one have all been sooo very kind and helpful with their information and experiences. - Hi Krita. Thanks for the friend request. My husband works in weapon.He is an expiditor but is not sure if he will be doing the same job over there. So what does your husband do? How long have you been there? Do you live on or off base? Yes,we are excited about the move. We're in TLF here at Luke until the 18th when we leave to visit family and friends back East.Wow, that would be great if our husbands will be working together. - Happy Mother's Day to you too. Where's Olympic Mall?? Things are slowly getting better with being here. We've been here a little over a month, and things are starting to become more familiar, but it sure isn't home yet. I feel so disconnected with everyone and everything. I miss my comfort places back home, especially the mall...I miss being able to go to Walmart and walk around aimlessly until I got my Walmart fix. I miss my family. Let me know if you're ever free to get together. My little ones would love to meet new playmates, and I would sure love adult conversation.

- Hey...I noticed you have a new profile picture...couldn't help but notice how great your eyebrows look. I know, I'm kinda eyebrow obsessed! Do you get them done or do them yourself? I've been here a month now and in desperate need of a well recommended eyebrow person. I had them threaded right before coming and I LOVED them...I miss threading...lol.

I don't remember the name of the place, but there is a salon near my house that is staffed by african-american men & women and owned by an african-american man; it's on the street toward the sea wall that you take past the Pizza Inn shopping center out gate 1 Kadena. It's on the right hand side about 2 blocks from the sea wall. Does anyone know the name? It's a proper name, but I don't remember. I also have no idea if they give a decent haircut, but maybe this will trigger someone's comment :) Good luck.
