- I have lived here on the wonderful island for over 5 yrs and I have loved everyday of it! I have 2 great kids and a handsome Marine as my husband. I love evrything about Okinawa. I am an ALT ESL teacher at schools off base and tutor privately in my home. My other hobby/job is more of an addiction than anything else. I love to make and create obento for my kids! This has led to a busy bento blog, bento web store and teaching bento prep and pack classes twice a month!

I really don't want to expose him to a house of healthy people. I have to attend my sons performance at the exchange this morning and I think that is about all he is going to handle.

We've only just arrived back in March of this year..;)

- Oh, thank for asking! I actually got a couple of items and two more boxes (so now all of my kids have one). I made them all one bento and it took FOREVER, but it was fun. I am sure it will get faster as I get better and learn more. My husband asked me if I was going to make them for lunch for him :)
I would love to because it is portion controlled and I could try to follow the food group rules (which is what he needs, he is a diabetic).
So I am going to keep trying and experimenting until class again! I'll let you know how things go.

- Next Friday would work for me. Do you want to post it for the group and see who else wants to tag along? Where should we go? I have been to the 100 ye store on 23 and to Jusco but that is all I know of. Do we all want to meet somewhere and ride together - or at least follow each other?

- Hey Katy I see you are playing with your blog background. This is the site/blog I got mine from Leelou Blogs . They are free and super cute! She is also great about showing you step by step how to install them etc.
