Thought you might be able to help me. My grand-daughter is PCSing to Okinawa this July with her family. She is 11years and currently thinks the move will be "coollll"

I have been sending her information and pictures (mostly from okinawahai) to develope her interest.

Her family will be visiting with her grand-mother and me before flying to Okinawa in July. What I would like to be able to do when she comes to visit is greet her in Japanese saying the following:

"Welcome, Kalyn, to our home."

and when she and the family leave from their visit be able to say in Japanese:

"Goodbye, Kalyn, have a wonderful stay on Okinawa."

"Your grand-mother and I look forward to coming to visit you
there next year."

I think if I make the effort to learn to say these phases to her it will stimulate her interest to begin learning the language as she travels to Okinawa.

Give us some details!: I'm a Japanese girl from Tokyo married to a Texan. Basically our two kids are mix of ninja and cowboy. Love to travel. Love to shop although I don't get to buy much these days as our priority has shifted to kids! Love Okinawa!!
