They must cuz mine have always lasted forever too! Hate it in a way, cuz then there is no excuse to go back and get another quickly!! :)

Two other possibilities -- The Loop & Patisserie Paruche. I know the Loop has an upstairs room -- but it doesn't have all the fun breakables that can be found downstairs. PP has just a small seating area, but GORGEOUS desserts.

What are you doing that needs this kind of babysitting? It sounds interesting.

Green Yakisoba

Just had to post about the dinner I just made. I try to eat and cook as healthfully as I can which has been a little frustrating on this island as there is relatively little organic produce available (course I'm comparing to Whole Foods, ie, heaven). So tonight I made yakisoba with local noodles bought at the commissary, fresh tofu bought warm from the co-op, organic carrots (also co-op) and organic cabbage from the commissary. The only problem is that the cabbage wasn't green. It was red cabbag… Continue

Hi Joelle. Just shared the following thought with Meredith.

Meredith, As of today Now Serving Okinawa has 905 members. Most likely later this year we should see our 1,000 member. Several of us members should now start thinking about what do do to recognize that member when they join. Something like we did for the member who was the first to join in 2009 sometime back. What do you think?

Would appreciate any thoughts that you might wish to share with Meredith and Me on this idea.

Grandpa Ed!

THanks for your generous and thoughtful offer. It sounds fun! I'm always up for a little game.

I don't know if we'll have calendars left by then but how about we donate two calendars for this idea if we have them? I'd be happy to have you run the giveaway and just tell me who wins, if you like!

Thanks so much for the great idea.

Happy holidays.

Best.

Meredith

My answer:

Set aside two calandars to be given away. In keeping with the posting between Meredith and I.

The paymeent for them was made 10 minutes ago. They are my gift to the Society.

Will let you know who is to get them as soon as they join the Society.

Joelle, I have an idea that I would like your thoughts about. I will also be posting this to your page in the Oki Hai Society as well as to your editor e-mail in okinawahai.com . Would appreciate your thoughts before you run out of tthe calandars.

I would like to purchase two (2) of the calandars and have you give one to the person you is the last person to join the Society in 2008. I'll watch the Society's members and alert you when they join.

The second calandar I would you you to gaive the the first person to join the Society in 2009 again I will watch for this person and alert you when they join.

What do you think of this idea?
