I'm a new photographer but I do know of someone who is very talented.

SOCS is about Artists encouraging other artists to practice their disciplines in Okinawa. All mediums of Art to discuss techniques, share critiques, and offer gallery/exhibiting advice.

Kudos to X-tra Services
We would like to give kudos to Dennis and Ricky from X-tra Services.
I called Dennis this week to install our fence. Not only did he arrive the same day but gave us a great price and excellent service.
- They installed the fence to MFH code.
- Installation of walk gate. Which he customed made for us on site.
- Tested to ensure proper operation of gates.
- Cleaned up after job is done.
- Haul-away of fence materials related to installation.
- and will follow up later to make sure fence maintain… Continue

Spring is in the air....
Hello Ladies,
I have this great green canvas that is just screaming for some colors. I would like to paint it with beautiful colors from Lilies, snapdragons, tulips and any other colorful plant that is to be found here on this lovly island.
The problem is I'm a newbie to Oki and I'm not aware of where the best place(s) are to get reasonable priced plants. I would love to hear from the Green Thumbs or the wanna bes like myself about where you get your colors for your master pieces.

- Thanks Denise hope you had a good time. The Out processing Sgt. told me that I could get a civilian doctor to do the screening as long as he signed every form and asked me all the medical health questions. She said I would then fax that over to Sheppard AFB where my husband currently is and they would make an appt for further screening there. I'm guessing because of the impending deadline this procedure is allowed. If I waited to do the Screening at Moody my husband would be put on hold. So that's not an option. Thanks so much for your help, I'd me running around like a chicken with it's head cut-off if it wasn't for your help and the help of a few other ladies here. My husband thanks you too! We've been trying to get this done for 2 months now and I kept getting the run around, it's comforting to finally be on the right track.

- Wow thanks Denise, I thought I had everything but you say I need two kinds of POA. I only have the one and it took a week to get it. A whole nother week is something we just don't have time to wait for. I'll have to see if I can get that by Tuesday...that's our appt. date for our Passports. Question though, the guy who does the Overseas Screening is gone on TDY and he wont be back till the 24th which is way too late. So I made an appt to get a physical done and my screening at a family practice off base, do I still need to do the Overseas Screening at Moody for so I can get my typhoid shot?

- hey Denise, thanks so much for the info I'll call them first thing tmw. I was told I couldn't apply for the passports until I had POA and until I'd cleared my Overseas Screening, is that true?
