On base, all holidays are celebrated pretty much the same way they would be in the states....though you can't set off fireworks at your house for New Year's or 4th of July, but they generally have festivals on base so that you can enjoy those things…
Hey Charity! I believe trick or treating is set from 6-8 on Kadena. I saw the flyer for the Hauned House on Foster at the PX, but I can't recall the times for it....I know it's happening tomorrow night for sure though.

- I've been checking out this site for the last six months or so to get myself and my family excited about the move here. We've now been here almost two months and are really enjoying it! I've been married to my husband (Air Force) for 9 years and we have two daughters, ages 6 and 4. This is our fourth base, having been to Misawa (Japan), Aviano (Italy), and Eglin (Florida). I get to be a stay at home mom again now that we live overseas again and I feel really lucky! Basically, I love my family, I love to travel and explore, I am addicted to reading.....and I'm not that great at getting out there and making new friends....there I said it :) But I'm hoping this might be the first step to throwing myself out there.

- Hey- I was going to send you a message, but the message service on here is still down for whatever reason. Anyway- if you're not doing anything for dinner tonight (ie, not eating nachos again) Heather and I are supposed to be meeting up to go to that noodle place in American Village - the vending amchine/push button/automated whatever one. And then some Yogurtland afterwards. Also, I would call you, but I brilliantly left your number on my message board at home where I wouldn't lose it, but where it also doesn't do me any good.

- I don't know why I laugh every time I see this pic, but I do. Something about Mark. There were a couple others of the girls that turned out.
