Jennifer & Monica - It was so great meeting you guys at the potluck!! It was such a wonderful time!

Monica, I need your recipe for that stuff you brought. I looked in the freezer section but could find no root things. . .. I will keep looking.

Jennifer - I know you expressed interest in the vitamix, I just received an email special for buying one (for Christmas) - http://view.vitamixnow.com/?j=fe6715707465007c7d1c&m=fefa1274706707&ls=fdef10767661027574127571&jb=ffcf14

I hope to meet more of you all at upcoming meetup events! I may even consider hosting one eventually!

Hey Guys,
I wanted to pass on some info...
Sorry it's so close to the event but I wasn't able to post it before.

Hello all,
It's been a long time! First, welcome to our new members, sorry we haven't said hello sooner. Next, details. Potluck at our place.
Anna and Rob's

1-623 Miyagi
Chatan-cho

For the new folks, children and non-vegetarians are always welcome. Please bring a vegan-friendly dish that serves three to four people as a side. We'll provide brown rice and a squash soup. We tossed around the idea of showing a movie after dinner if there's any interest. We just watched Food, Inc. and we also have Earthlings and some other interesting films in our collection. Not to mention cookbooks and literature that we'd be happy to lend out.
Please remember, it helps us so much when you RSVP, it helps us plan the event based on the expected number coming. If you select Maybe, please change your RSVP to yes or no the day before.
We look forward to seeing you in a week. We live near Kadena gate 1 and we'll send out directions to those who RSVP yes or maybe on Friday.
Cheers,
Rob and Anna
P.S. We've just started making our own almond milk and would be happy to share the "how-to"s with anyone who is interested. Just show up around 6:15, we plan on whipping up a batch before dinner.
You can RSVP by going here http://www.meetup.com/okiveg/calendar/11972511/

Jennifer -
The soya chunks are "aka" textured vegetable chunks. I buy all my TVP "meats" like that online. They are available from the store on my blog also (those are the exact ones I buy). They had a wonderful texture! Super yummy! Most all of the stuff I talk about on my blog is available at the store on my blog.

Anastasia,
Loved the blog but wanted to know where you get soya chunks...the recipe sounds great!! Also, I tried the K-chick loaf for our Thanksgiving dinner, the flavor was great! Thanks

Hello everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving. I wanted to come here and share my blog. I wrote up a whole thing on "Thanksgiving vegan style" and added recipes and such. I thought you guys may like to check it out - http://tulipstories.wordpress.com/

Ok - I have spent an hour looking for it, and can't find it anywhere. Someone on here gave me the web address for a place on mainland that ships here (all vegan goods) if you live out in town. I for the life of me can not find the info anywhere! Can whomever told me, please repost it here or message me.
Thanks
