The new Kadena BX started a test this weekend that will run for 2 weeks.
From now
until Wednesday the 25th of November they will be open 24 hours a day 7 days
a week. In addition to the main store the bookstore, coffee shop and burger
king are also open. They will use this test to determine if there is a need
for expanded hours but I don't think it was advertised very well, I went
Saturday night at about 0300 and I was the only customer in the store.



FYI the BX will be open from 9 to 6 on Thanksgiving day

The Commissary will be open until 2000 on the 25th and closed Thanksgiving

If anyone else wants to go, there are 2 more seats in my car! Room for either 2 adults or one adult and one kiddo in the carseat.

Tuesday is fine for me, so long as the potluck lunch at heather's home isn't voted to be that day. I drop my daughter off at daycare at 9, then can come pick you up and we can go.

Any day works best for me, im a stay at home wife with no plans and no job lol! If you wanna go next week it looks like Tuesday would be a good day to do it because it's supposed to be slightly cloudy, great weather for a walk up to Hiji! can you do that day? I can choose another if it doesn't work.

alright since this group isn't exactly getting the attention i hoped for i'll take a stab at an Idea. I made myself a list of all the things i want to do and see while im here on Okinawa and one of the things i want to do is go up to Hiji falls. My husband isn't exactly much of a "nature" guy so im wondering if anybody would like to Join me.

Hi there! My name is Hyla. Your group sounds very much like what I was hoping to find here during our stay on the island! My husband and I are excited to have found Okinawa Hai and look forward to explore, have fun, and make new friends. We have been on the island for about one month and love it here. We have a 4 yr old son who is starting preschool this week and a 3 yr old daugther who will be out bonding and exploring with me during the week for the next few months. See you soon!

If this includes children..I'm all for this one. I have 3yr old and 11yr old sons who are both very active and enjoy most anything outdoors! I'll keep an eye out for any of your activities. Thanks.
