another new kid on the block looking for adventure and friends...I love the outdoors, just got licensed to ride my scooter so I can cruise around anywhere anytime!! The Motorcycle Safety/Basic Riders course was so fun @ Kadena, I did it last week and am so glad I did!! Just need to meet people who want to go OUT and have some big fun!!!

I have an almost 2 yr old, she'll be 2 at the end of June and a 6 yr old boy who will be out of school for summer break soon. So if anyone wants to start something, I'm all ears. I've never done a play date before, but I'm always open for anything. Thanks

Hi everyone! I, like Elizabeth, will be arriving to Okinawa soon and would love to get connected. I have three girls, ages 7. 5 and 3. We are currently looking at schools and preschools, as I might try for pt employment. I would love to get suggestions of fun places to take small children and maybe plan for playdates. If any of you have children that would like to be a "pen pal", my daughter would love to find someone to write to.

My kids and I will be going on the farm tour at the end of the month. I think it will be lots of fun. You can sign up through Kadena ITT. Also, if anyone is interested I know how to get a potato picking day for the kids set up (it's a lot cheaper than the one with Kadena ITT).

Hello everyone. I don't know if this group is still active but I thought since I will be arriving in Oki by then end of April, it would be good to start getting to know some people before the kids and I arrive. My name is Elizabeth and I have 2 children. Jeremiah who is 5 and Reanna who will be 2 in June. My husband, Erik, is already in Oki. He's Army and he's assigned to ADA-1 Charlie unit. I'm not sure if he'll be working in Torii station or not. He will probably find out tomorrow. Anyway, I don't want this fantastic opporuntity pass us by and I would love to find some friends that wants to explore as much of the island as possible. My husband doesn't care for sushi but I love it and I can't wait to try a resturant that I just read about called Sushi Zen...anyone for sushi here? Lol...I love to scrapbook and I will feel like there's a part of me that is missing till my supplies arrive on the island. Anyway, maybe we can set up "dates" on when we can explore once or twice a month...see y'all soon!

Hi! My name is Hyla and our family has been here for about a month. I'm finally settling in enough to have (more) fun! My 3 year old daughter and I (and my 4 yr old son during school breaks/holidays...and, of course, my husband when he can) plan on having a lot of fun exploring and making new friends. Anyone going out to collecting sea glass, visiting the aquarium, looking for cool seashells, or visiting local shops just holler! PS...I scrapbook...and plan on getting back into it as soon as our stuff arrives some time next month.
