Spring, 4/27/2009
Congrats to MA of Organique Photo for representing SPRING this week. Abby (last weeks featured photographer) and I decided that this photo was very spring like indeed! Mariann took this photo whilst on a hop to Tokyo.
Over to Mariann - I'm a natural-light on-location photographer. I've been on-island for exactly a year. I shoot with a Nikon D80 and this shot is with a 50mm 1.4. The blossoms are in Tokyo JP just a few weeks ago. The trees there are so different from the Sakura here. There, the trees are huge, with dark bark and dark pink buds, but bright white blossoms. They're so beautiful when the wind blows, it looks like it's snowing petals. They were everywhere- in our hair, our purses, even got into our shoes!
